I’m not sure if I like it yet or not but I have given this blog a new look with a new theme.  I do like it in the sense that it is sleek and professional looking, just not sure about having one sidebar, I did like having two sidebars on this site.  But I will leave it like this for a while and see how I go.

Other than the new look I want to just touch on the topic of Procrastination!  I’m sure we can all relate to having those days when we procrastinate all day and at the end of the day look back and realize we have done nothing.  Well I’m having too many of those days lately and I really must stop them and start being more productive.

Today is the first day of my own personal 30 day PLR challenge and so far I’ve managed to stay on track – woo hoo!

I have written my article for the day – an article on migraines.  That is number 8 for the pack so I only need 2 more and I will be able to list that pack for sale.

1 day down – 29 to go.  Fingers crossed that I’ll stick it out and complete the 30 articles in 30 days this time!

Ghostbloggers

Today I got a postcard in the mail from Ghostbloggers – what a surprise.   Completely unexpected and just something very simple, but still something nice.  It was just a simple postcard saying – ‘thanks for writing about us on your blog’.   How cool is that!  Oh and they said that I rock!!!

I should add Ghostbloggers to my challenge – it should include writing and submitting 1 article a week to Ghostbloggers.  I might try and do that just so I can get a few more up for sale on their site!

Well Tiffany Dow’s 30 PLR Challenge is over and I FAILED!  Wow – that’s bad hey – just 1 article a day and I couldn’t do it!  I’m a bit disappointed in myself for not completing the challenge so I am going to start over and do it on my own.

Starting tomorrow, my own personal goal is to write at least 1 PLR article a day for the next 30 days.  So by the 16th September I should have 30 articles written.  They may not all go up for sale because I’m planning to write a pack of articles as a freebie so I can give a free gift to my loyal customers, but that doesn’t matter, as long as I get 30 articles written over 30 days is all that matters.

I’m no asking anyone to join me, although if you want to that’s great, but I just want to do this so that I can make myself get moving with my PLR store.  I was hoping Tiffany’s challenge would get me moving but I got sidetracked and just didn’t get it done.  Now that I am setting my own challenge on my own site, hopefully that will keep me motivated to keep going.

I’ll be started off with the migraine article pack that I have started working on.  I believe I only have three or four more articles to write for that one and then I can list it on my site.

I’m also looking into another online business which I won’t go into just now, but the research for this business is taking me a little bit of time.  This is actually a physical product business rather than digital products and it’s the first time I’ve gone into physical products.  There is the risk that I have to buy stock up front and if it doesn’t sell I’m stuck with it and out of pocket, but I guess every retailer that purchases stock from a wholesaler takes that risk.

That is all just in research stage at the moment so I will give you an update on that when it starts to come together.  In the meantime, I’m off to do some more research and get ready for starting my own 30 day PLR challenge tomorrow.

This Stay Home Mum site is probably the oldest site that I have and it has undergone a couple of changes over the years and I’m thinking it might be due for another one.  I’m going to think about it for a bit though just to make sure it is really what I want to do.

There are two main changes that I am thinking of making:

1. Change the WordPress theme to something different.  I want something professional, yet nice.  I have one in mind that I might use but it is a paid theme so still having a think about whether to fork out the money for a paid theme or not.

2. I am thinking I might move my blog to a ‘blog’ page and have a separate home page for this site.  I originally wanted this site to give some options of ways for Mums to earn money online and it doesn’t really give that clearly at the moment.  It has been more of a blog and that’s all, so I’m thinking of having a home page that lists some of the various options for making money online and keeping the blog but having it on a different page.

It’s going to take a bit of work though to get it to where I want it and at the moment it is still just in the ‘thoughts’ stage.  I still need to keep working on my other jobs and the site changeover will be done probably in stages when I find the time.

The 30 PLR Challenge is still going and I’m still falling further and further behind.  In fact, I think it will probably be finished in about 5 days so I haven’t got much time left to catch up.  I am planning for this site and my PLR site to be my main two business sites so I do need to get stuck into the PLR side of it a bit more too and build up that website/business.

If there are any ‘business opportunity’ ideas that you would like to see explained on this site please let me know as I haven’t really decided exactly which opportunities I will include on the site.

That’s it for me today – back to work!

Last week I talked about the website Ghostblogger.net where you can submit articles and then people can buy those articles as unique articles.  I wrote and submitted three articles just to give it a go and see how I went.

I’m happy to report that today I made my first sale and it was my biggest article, which was over 1,000 and sold for over $60.  I made $44.28 on the article, so I’m pretty happy with that!

I must say that the site doesn’t seem to be turning over that many articles so I’m not sure just how many people buy their articles from Ghostblogger.net.  I’m not sure how old the site is but I’m hoping that perhaps as more people find out about this source for articles, then there may be more and more sales.

It’s certainly worth submitting a couple of articles to and you can earn a little extra cash every now and then.  Once you submit the article you don’t have to do anything more, just sit back and wait for it to sell :)

Ghostbloggers.net also have a Facebook page if you would like to read some more about it and what people have said about it then that is a good place to start.

I have to say I’m pretty happy with it so far and now I just need to write a few more articles and hopefully I’ll start seeing some regular sales.

PLR 30 Day Challenge Update

Just a very quick update on the PLR 30 day challenge because I really don’t have much to update.  I have been really slack – again – sticking to my usual standards :)   I just had a look on Tiffany’s site and she is up to day 19 and I think I’m still at around 6 articles.  I really need to pull my finger out and get a move on.

I did just take the time to whip up a quick article to submit to Ghostbloggers.net about Google Plus  – and still working on a couple of client article orders.   Wow – 11 more days of the challenge and I have 24 more articles to write so I need to do more than 2 a day.  Better get to work!
