I haven’t updated about my Deadbeat Super Affiliate site for a while because I just haven’t had time to work on my site and probably wont until the New Year.  But I checked my Amazon stats and I did make another sale – not bad considering I haven’t done a lot with this site and haven’t done anything at all over the last couple of weeks.

The sale wasn’t for the product I’m promoting though it was for something completely different – Windows 7 software – but it earned me $6.60 commission so that little bit is better than nothing.  Getting little sales like this makes me want to get back into it and spend the time working on it more, if I can make a couple of sales without doing much at all with the site, imagine what I could do if I was really working hard and putting the time into this site.

I haven’t really done anymore work on my Deadbeat Super Affiliate website except for ordering a backlinking service.  It isn’t a huge service that gives thousands of backlinks, I don’t want to get Google slapped for backlinking too much too soon, but I just thought I’d outsource some of my backlinking.

I was a $20 service that was running as a WSO on the Warrior forum.  I used one of my product pages as the url to be backlinked and not the main domain url.  I chose this page because I want to get each product page ranked highly for their chosen keywords.  This particular product page is the top selling product in it’s group on Amazon so I thought I’d target this one first.

I haven’t updated on my Deadbeat Super Affiliate progress much lately and that is because I haven’t had a lot of time to spend working on my site.

I did manage to get some work done on it today though, the first time in over a week I think.  Today I added another page to my site which was based around another product in the niche.

I syndicated that page using WP-Syndicator and I also submitted it to some social bookmarking sites using SocialBot.

WOW!

I was pretty happy this morning to log in to my Amazon account and see that I made a sale on one of the products promoted through my Deadbeat Super Affiliate website.

I haven’t done any work at all on my DSA site for about a week or so and I wasn’t really expecting anything just yet.  My backlinks are gradually getting indexed, according to Market Samurai I have 47 backlinks to the domain, so they are slowly but surely getting indexed. Read more…

I have a job I’m working on for a client – even though it’s actually not the sort of work I usually do.  But this one customer emailed me explaining the job she needed done, which is a WordPress job as she doesn’t have much experience with WordPress.  I have written articles for her recently and so she asked me if I would be interested in doing this WordPress job for her.  So I am working on that at the moment and I also had a parenting course today that I’ve been doing for a few weeks.  I have one writing job to do also so my Deadbeat Super Affiliate site is going to have to wait for a couple of days.

I was looking at my stats on Market Samurai for my DSA site and it’s really weird.  The main page and the first post I added both got indexed reasonably fast.  Then I added two more posts and I’ve backlinked them all from my Squidoo lens.  Well out of the last two posts I added, the first one hasn’t been indexed yet but the second one has, in fact the second one was indexed within a couple of hours of publishing it.  It has been a couple of days now since I published them and the first one still isn’t indexed.

It’s really weird and my Squidoo lens also hasn’t been indexed yet – I thought Squidoo lenses would be indexed reasonably fast.  So what I’m thinking, in a couple of days once I get time to work on my site again I might create some Hubpages too and link to both my site and my Squidoo lenses.

I have had a look through modules 19 to 24 of Deadbeat Super Affiliate although I’m not sure at this stage whether I plan to use the information in these modules.

Module 19: This one is about sending your visitors to the correct Amazon store for their country.  Dan states that people outside US cannot buy from Amazon.com but I don’t believe this is true.  I do believe there are some limits and there are some items that wont be shipped outside of US but there are items that will ship outside of US.  I live in Australia and I have purchased from Amazon.com before so I know it an be done.  I have also tried to purchase something that I found out when I got to checkout that they wouldn’t ship it overseas, so there are some limitations but not impossible.
