A good blog created and maintained correctly can be very profitable, but many people still try and fail to make money with their blogs. Here are a few steps that can help you to become successful at making money by blogging.

1. Choose a Niche

The niche is the topic that your blog will be based on. You can either choose a niche on a topic that you are passionate about or you can choose a niche based on research. When you create a blog about a topic you are passionate about then it is much easier to write content for your blog when you know what you are talking about and you also tend to stay motivated when it is about something that you enjoy. When choosing a niche based on research you want to find a niche that is in high demand but one that doesn’t have too much competition.

2. Keyword Research

When doing research to find good keywords for your blog you are looking for keywords that have a lot of people searching for them but without too much competition. Generally you want to use keywords that have at least 1,000 exact searches a month so that you have a good demand and will receive lots of visitors.

So, now I’m back on track and getting focused again and I actually have some good news on the reporting side of things.
