Other than the new look I want to just touch on the topic of Procrastination!  I’m sure we can all relate to having those days when we procrastinate all day and at the end of the day look back and realize we have done nothing.  Well I’m having too many of those days lately and I really must stop them and start being more productive.

I have had a look back and realized that with the years that I’ve been trying to work online the most success I have had was with my PLR selling, so I think that is the one thing I should concentrate on more than anything else.  So for 2012, my PLR website is going to be my priority and I would like to try and add one new pack of PLR every week.

Just before Christmas I wrote a pack of Toy PLR which I offered as a freebie to my subscribers and basically anyone that wanted to have it.  If you haven’t got this pack then it’s still available here:

I hope to be doing more freebie packs this year as I like to give something back to those who are subscribed to my list.

I will do a clean up and get rid of some of my websites that are sitting around doing nothing and I also need to do some work on those websites that are earning some money but could be doing a lot better with some time spent on them.

I have one website in particular that I started following the Adsense 100K Blueprint method.  I only wrote about 3 or 4 posts on this site and then it has been neglected.  This website however is now earning on average $4 a day in Adsense and I know that if I spent some time working on this site and adding more content to it I could be earning more with it.

So I have that site plus a couple other sites that make a little bit of money that I would like to spend more time on so I can increase their income.

What will I do to motivate myself?  Well, I just need to remind myself of all the things in my home that are breaking down lately.  You know how everything seems to break at once, well it’s that time for me.  We recently had to buy a new washing machine, we had to get the air conditioner fixed, the dishwasher died and last week the vacuum cleaner blew up.  Our car is getting pretty old too and we really need to think about getting a new car at some stage soon too.  So I certainly have a lot of things that I need to spend money on so they are my motivators.

How do you deal with procrastination and what do you use for motivation?

There are two main changes that I am thinking of making:

1. Change the WordPress theme to something different.  I want something professional, yet nice.  I have one in mind that I might use but it is a paid theme so still having a think about whether to fork out the money for a paid theme or not.

2. I am thinking I might move my blog to a ‘blog’ page and have a separate home page for this site.  I originally wanted this site to give some options of ways for Mums to earn money online and it doesn’t really give that clearly at the moment.  It has been more of a blog and that’s all, so I’m thinking of having a home page that lists some of the various options for making money online and keeping the blog but having it on a different page.

It’s going to take a bit of work though to get it to where I want it and at the moment it is still just in the ‘thoughts’ stage.  I still need to keep working on my other jobs and the site changeover will be done probably in stages when I find the time.

The 30 PLR Challenge is still going and I’m still falling further and further behind.  In fact, I think it will probably be finished in about 5 days so I haven’t got much time left to catch up.  I am planning for this site and my PLR site to be my main two business sites so I do need to get stuck into the PLR side of it a bit more too and build up that website/business.

If there are any ‘business opportunity’ ideas that you would like to see explained on this site please let me know as I haven’t really decided exactly which opportunities I will include on the site.

So my goals:

• To add one new pack of articles to my PLR site each week – although I’m a little undecided as to whether I’ll be able to achieve that and perhaps I should make it once a fortnight, but I will say each week for the moment and see how I go.
• To work on the membership site I’m planning, I want to have at least 3 months worth of content ready before I launch it and at the moment I have about 3 weeks worth.  So I want to create at least one weeks content for my membership site every week.
• To add content and backlinks to my Adsense 100k Blueprint websites and also my Deadbeat Super Affiliate website.  I want to add at least 2 blog posts every day (can be divided among the sites) and also submit at least 2 articles a day to article directories.
• To organize my sites that I just don’t have time for and sell them.
• Complete writing jobs for clients when required

The writing jobs I do for clients is my first priority and often I just don’t get time for doing much of the other stuff depending on how many jobs I have.  I don’t make good enough use of my time though and really need to organize myself so I can be more productive with the time that I’ve got.

So that’s it – my updated goals and plan to be more productive.

Did I do it????

Yes – woo hoo!  The problem is that although it is great that I am achieving my goals and earning the amounts I’m aiming for each month, the higher the income gets the harder it is to reach those goals!

So my income for December is:

• 2Checkout:  $710
• Clickbank: $420

Giving me a total of $1,130.  The 2checkout income is a combination of PLR sales and some article rewriting work.  I think from memory I had around $250 of rewriting work in that total.

I have made a little bit on Adsense but haven’t counted that as it hasn’t been paid out as yet and I’m only counting the money as income once it is transferred into my bank account.  So this $1,130 is the money that I have in my hand.

I did make some money through Paypal from writing work but I use that money to pay my expenses and haven’t transferred it over to my bank for that reason, so I haven’t included that income in my total income.

So I guess my January income goal is to beat $1,130  – so my goal is $1,131 or more.  Now I’m getting worried about reaching that!

I have been thinking a little about what I want to do with regards to Internet Marketing next year and so I thought I’d come and write my goals in the hope it might help me to work toward them once they are written.  I don’t have any massive goals but just generally to expand on what I’m already doing.

PLR Website

I want to keep working on my PLR website and stocking it with more PLR article packs and possibly some more reports.  I should set  a specific number or article packs to add each month but I worry if I set a number I won’t stick to it, but I would like to add at least 3 sets a month would be good.

Affiliate Websites

I don’t have any plans to start any new affiliate websites at the moment, but I want to keep working mainly on my Adsense 100k Blueprint review site and the Amazon site that I started with Deadbeat Super Affiliate.  I also have one other site that is a couple of years old that gets the occasional sale and really has a lot of potential so I want to revamp that one a bit and set it up more like the DSA sites.

Adsense Websites

I have only set up one Adsense website following Adsense 100k Blueprint so I want to keep working on that, make it a little bigger and work on building backlinks to it.  If I can get that one earning some money then I might create more sites following this system.

PLR IM Membership

This is going to be my new baby this year.  I want to set up a PLR membership site in the Internet Marketing niche.  I plan to deliver 7 articles a week in the IM niches, so basically my customers will receive 1 article a day but receive them weekly.  Not sure how I will price it yet but I’m thinking around $15 to $20 a month, somewhere in that range.

Article Rewriting

I have a couple of customers that I rewrite articles for so I hope to keep doing work for them at least until I have more money coming in from my other income sources.

That’s about it really, like I said no massive goals except for the membership site that will be the biggest one.  I think that is enough as I want to set achievable goals and not get depressed when I set myself too many goals and then don’t meet them.

I am currently just writing articles, I have two orders to complete plus I want to get at least one article written and added to my Adsense 100k Blueprint website.

I feel I spend too much time on the Warrior forum and checking stats and doing all those time wasting things that if I didn’t do them I would probably get my articles written in half the time.  So today I am going to close Firefox and just write articles without checking anything else.  I might even close my email program and only check emails once or twice throughout the day.

That is my challenge for today, to see if I can write a record number of articles (record number for me).

So that’s my post, I’m closing everything off now while I go and work my little fingers off

I haven’t added any new PLR to my site in a while because I’ve been working on other writing jobs for some customers and also working on my Deadbeat Super Affiliate website and my new Adsense 100k Blueprint website.

I haven’t done a whole lot on my DSA site this week other than some backlinking but I’ve been working on my A100KB site a bit.  I started that one all over again as I decided against the niche that I’d chosen and then did my niche research all over again.  I have a niche now and a website up and running with one post and one page added to it so far.  It’s a very ugly website, using the theme given with the course, but it apparently converts really well, so I’ll stick with it and see.

I must warn you though this video is terrible, I hate doing videos and my mind just went blank half of the time and I couldn’t think of what to say.  But anyway, this is my first effort at a vlog and hopefully I’ll get better at doing them after a while

Recently I have started doing some niche blogging to try and build up some more passive income streams.  I am still flipping websites and making money from doing so, I just felt like a bit of a change with the hope of building up some long term income.

Niche blogging isn’t hard but it is more involved than I originally thought.  Choosing the right niche that will be both profitable and without too much competition can be quite difficult.  Let’s face it, if a niche has too much competition then it can be really hard to get your site ranking high enough to really make any money from it.  However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t make money from that niche.  You can if you are using the right keyword phrases.

This is the next difficult step in niche blogging, finding good keyword phrases that still have a lot of searches per month but less competition.

For example, if you wanted to create a blog on weight loss it would be really difficult to rank highly with a blog based on those highly competitive keywords ‘weight loss’.  You can still be successful in the weight loss niche, just by focusing on some less competitive keywords.  So you could perhaps concentrate on one type of weight loss product or diet or exercise program and use keywords that are more targeted to the sub-niche.

By focusing on a sub-niche within a niche it is much easier to rank higher in Google and the other search engines giving you a much better chance of having a successful money making blog.

I have started working on a couple of niche blogs and one of them has started making a little bit of money so far.  I will try to keep you updated on how I go with it all.  It can be fun too if you are working on a good niche that you enjoy writing about, then it takes the ‘work’ out of it a little if you are enjoying what you are doing.

My blogs are all set up and now I’m mainly working on updating them regularly and also on building backlinks to them.  Backlinking is very important for ranking well and although it isn’t the best job in the world, it does need to be done.

So that’s where I’m at.  I hope whatever you are doing online is working well for you.

Our blog is aimed at Mums (or Moms as spelled in US) that are home with young kids and would like to earn some money at home so they can delay or even prevent all together returning to the work force.

I have 3 children myself and they are all school aged now, but my aim was not just to be able to stay home while they were babies and preschool age, but I wanted to be able to earn enough money so I could stay home even when they were school aged.  I wanted to do this because I wanted to be there for my children to take them to school in the morning and to be there after school.

So basically, during school hours, that is my time for working online.

To be successful at working online, I have found that you have to stay focused, choose one business opportunity and be determined to make it work.  You need to treat your online business like a job and set aside the time to work on it and set some goals for each day and work hard to reach those goals.  If you don’t have goals to complete each day then you will find that you spend most of your time looking for new opportunities and checking your stats to see if you have made any money yet.  You will be surprised how much time you waste doing this and this is time that can be spent in a more productive way that will make you more successful.

It is also important not to give up on an opportunity too quickly as many online business opportunities will take time before they really start making a decent income.  The only business that I have been successful at making money in a short period of time is Site Flipping, my other businesses have taken more time to establish and start making money.

Niche blogging is my other main line of business but each blog really does require research to get a really good keyword phrase to build that blog around, then it requires a lot of hard work to build that blog up to the stage of making money.  The good think with niche blogging is that when you get a blog making money then it will usually continue to make you money for a long time.  It becomes more of a passive income once it is established, however, any blog can only increase in value and income the more and more work and effort that you put into it.

There are many other types of business opportunities out there also, so find what you would like to do and really put an effort into making it work.
